One to one Voicework & Singing with Ruth

Ruth offers individual sessions to support and facilitate people on their voice and health journey in her comfortable, dedicated space in Nutbourne, West Sussex.

These sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the client and draw from the fields of music therapy, dance therapy, psychodrama, polyvagal theory, spaces of wellbeing theory, attachment theory and self-determination theory.

It is important to note that although drawing from therapeutic fields, Ruth is not a “therapist”, rather a “facilitator”, supporting clients to access and take ownership over their own health and wellbeing via embodied voicework (breathwork, movement, sounding, song-singing).

Sessions may address the following:

  • Learning to use the voice and sing healthily

  • Emotional expression and regulation

  • Voice confidence

  • Using voicework and singing to address mental health issues such as depression, anxiety

  • Issues relating to neurodivergence

Ruth is a mental health first aider, engages in professional reflection and accesses peer-to-peer support. She also has lived experience of depression and neurodivergence. She has professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance and is an active member of professional organisations: the Singing For Health Network, Musicians Union, Natural Voice Network and Sound Sense.
